Blogs are Web sites, maintained by individuals or companies, that capture current commentary, events and ideas and share information from across the Web. From hobbies to politics to business, blogs are dynamic players in the online universe. As of December 2007, Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs!

Delicious
Delicious (formerly del.icio.us) is a social bookmarking Web service for storing, sharing and discovering Web bookmarks. Similar to a bookmark in a Web browser, Delicious allows you to post your bookmarks to the Web and instead of keeping them only in an individual browser, users can share them with other users. Redesigned in July 2008, Delicious has more than five million users and more than 150 million bookmarked items.

Digg
Digg is a Web site made for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet by submitting links and stories. Users vote and comment on submissions, either giving them a “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” – respectively called digging and burying. Many stories get submitted every day, but only the most dugg stories appear on the front page. In 2007, Digg had more than 236 million visitors.
A popular social network, Facebook boasts more than 80 million users worldwide and connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them or around the world. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload photos, share links and videos and learn more about the people they meet.

Flickr
Flickr is an online photo and video management and sharing application. Users can upload, share, and “tag” photos and videos with key words that can be easily searched by visitors to the site, and organize photos into albums or groups. Popular with families as well as professional photographers and bloggers, the site hosts more than 2 million images.
FriendFeed is a “social aggregator” – a site that consolidates updates from users’ social Web sites such as blog entries, social bookmarking Web sites (like Delicious.com) and social networks like Twitter, Facebook or Flickr. Friends can connect and view each others’ updates from across a broad range of social networks, comment on each others’ posts vote on posts they like.
LinkedIn is an online network of more than 25 million experienced professionals from around the world, representing 150 industries. Users create profiles summarizing their professional accomplishments and connect to former or current colleagues, clients and partners. LinkedIn members can get introduced to others in their network and participate in groups based on professional affiliations or backgrounds.

MySpace
MySpace is a popular social networking Web site offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos for teenagers and adults internationally. MySpace has more than 106 million accounts and reportedly attracts more than 230,000 new users every day. The site has gained popularity among musicians in recent years, with bands setting up pages to connect and gather their fans.

Twitter
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Now cresting 2.2 million members worldwide, Twitter is even home to representatives from major corporations like Dell, Comcast, Southwest Airlines and Zappos, who are using the platform to improve customer service.

Wikipedia
Wikipedia is the biggest multi-lingual, free content encyclopedia on the Web. Entries are built collaboratively by volunteers all over the world, and nearly all of the site’s articles can be edited by the site users. Wikipedia has more than 10 million articles in more than 253 languages, and is the largest and most popular general reference work on the Web.

YouTube
YouTube is a video sharing Web site where users can upload, view and share video clips. More than 100 million videos are viewed every day on the site, ranging from television commercials to music videos, user-created movies and TV and movie clips.
