February 5, 2009—Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.—In the spirit of this inaugural year, JSH&A is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Kokoris as president and general manager. Kokoris will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, including management of the agency’s strategic growth, client programming and staff supervision.
Kokoris has been an influential part of the award-winning agency for more than 13 years. While working closely with founder and CEO Jonni Hegenderfer, Kokoris has been credited with creating some of JSH&A’s most innovative programs including the award-winning “Great Whiskey Debates” for longtime client Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc.
“I am thrilled to make this appointment,” said Hegenderfer. “A large part of our success over the years is due to Jim’s creativity, experience and dedication.”
Kokoris has 20 years of experience in public relations with an extensive background in speech-writing, presentation development, business press, consumer marketing and crisis communications. He has been a regular contributor to The Chicago Tribune Sunday Magazine and is also a published author of two novels, The Rich Part of Life and Sister North—both of which have been optioned by Hollywood. His third book, The Pursuit of Other Interests, is due out in November 2009.
