From the JSH&A Living Room

There is someone on my mind who’s been rocking the social media and PR scene for awhile now, and that’s Peter Shankman.

The genius social media and PR guru behind HARO (Help A Reporter Out) and author of Can We Do That? (the first book my first boss recommended) is a constant in the world of PR, constantly engaging audiences as a speaker, entrepreneur and member of the elite Twitterati to name a few. His website is a plethora of information for social media folks and PR pros and offers a sneak peak into his life through his blog. You also have to check out his new Couchside Social Media Monitoring Center.

Shankman has become the go-to guy for advice when looking for a perennial expert, a courageous master of stunt, shock and social media PR. His three times daily HARO queries go out to an audience of more than 70,000 sources, from a pool of more than 10,000 journalists and provide companies with instant access to media. He also links seekers to the source all while introducing us to new and interesting products “before the jump.” You can find him here: http://shankman.com/ … and everywhere else you turn in the social media spectrum.

Let me know what you think.

Sincerely,
Kelcy Hale

Account Executive

JSH&A Presents at Marketing 2 Women

The recent Marketing 2 Women Conference in Chicago brought together more than 200 of the country’s experts, providing insight into this critical consumer base which represents 52% of the population and is responsible for 85% of all purchasing power. Jonni Hegenderfer, JSH&A CEO, presented the agency’s study on “Women And The Media.” Go to www.jsha.com/blog/socialmedianewsroom and www.m2w.biz for details.

Women And The Media

Only 34% of all women read the newspaper daily and 37% “never or only occasionally” read the paper. Yet, only 12% of all women go online daily for their news and 47% never do digital newspapers. There’s no denying, however, women are in migration when it comes to their media habits with 83% of all women interacting online for personal reasons. For the full story, request a free white paper on our just completed national study on the media habits of women.
